The Tampa Tour was created in the summer of 2006 by four golfers that had a desire to play golf in an organized and competitive format, with other young professionals (ages 25-49) they enjoyed playing with at a reasonable cost.

An announcement is sent out every week to what started as a group of friends (which has now has evolved into many levels of extended friends and colleagues) announcing the coming weekends Event and details of the event. The schedule is released for the season early in the year and everything is done to keep to that schedule.

Those interested in participating in that weekend’s event must contact THE TAMPA TOUR by Thursday at noon to solidify their spot. They will be assigned their Tee Time when they arrive at the Event.

THE TAMPA TOUR has created a point based scoring system that will allow all participants the opportunity to compete for Event Purses, two annual “Major Tournaments” and the League Championship. Those 16 players that have the highest League Points will be invited to the Annual Tampa Invitational Tournament.
